Sports update

Roy Jones vs Felix "Tito" Trinidad
Last night I saw the fight on PPV. Actually wasnt expecting to be a interesting match, but both fighters did quite well. As for Tito I actually didnt expect him to throw a lot of combinations and to be sharp at all with his punches (His last fight was almost 3 years ago) specially at that weight where he will be usually slower.

The fight was dead even the first six rounds, but in the seventh Roy knocked down Tito with a right hook. After that it was basically all Roy Jones, when he floored Trinidad once again in the tenth proving he was the stronger of the two.

Roy Jones Jr. improved his record to (52-4, 38 KOs) with a unanimous decision over Felix "Tito" Trinidad (42-3, 35 KOs).

Australian Open
On the 3rd round of the Australian Open we had a couple of excellent 5 setter matches full of drama and high quality tennis.

First James Blake made a great comeback defeating Sebastian Grosjean 4-6, 2-6, 6-0, 7-6 (5), 6-2.

Then we saw Federer getting tested in his match against Janko Tipsarevic. They played previously on a davis cup match when Roger beat him easily, but It wasnt gonna be easy this time around when he had to sweat for 4hours 27 minutes of gameplay. Federer took the win 6-7(5), 7-6(1), 5-7, 6-1, 10-8.

And after that a little more drama for the day when Lleyton Hewitt defeated Marcos Baghdatis 4-6, 7-5, 7-5, 6-7(4), 6-3 in a match that finished at 4.34 a.m. - the latest-finishing match in Grand Slam history. Hewitt had one match point in the fourth set after he had a 5-1 lead, but Baghdatis didnt quit and push the action to five sets.

What a day of tennis!

UFC 80

The "prodigy" BJ Penn submitted Joe “Daddy” Stevenson in the second round with a rear naked choke. Penn dominated the first round when he conected with a strong punch that knocked Joe Stevenson down. At the end of the first round BJ Penn opened Stevenson face with a right elbow. BJ Penn had tried to win that belt twice before, but this time was different.

At that weight I dont think anyone can take that belt from him now, his next fight is against Sean Sherk (The previously title holder, before he got his belt stripped after he didnt passed a drug test).
